community outreach

The Bartlett Raiders Athletic Association prides itself on our involvement in the community.

Being a non-profit organization, we are always looking to give back to the families who donate their time and money to the organization by helping where we are able to.

12.31.2022 - Bartlett Raiders volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora on New Years Eve! Volunteers had a great time helping to pack up food for Haiti and other countries in need, while knowing they were helping others. A great way to cap off the year. We are proud of our Raider volunteers for dedicating their time to doing this!

02.05.2022 - Bartlett Raiders Cheer & Football delivered food to Bartlett Firefighters as a thank you for their around the clock work on the Bartlett Warehouse fire.

Thank you to Capone’s Pizza in Bloomingdale, and Rebecca’s Cakes by Design for their food donations as well!

10.03.2021 - On Sunday, 10/3, our organization experienced one of the best touch downs in Bartlett Raiders history!

Griffin Markel, a 1st year flag player who has Down Syndrome scored his very first Touch Down, during his team’s Homecoming Game! He was also elected to the Homecoming Court this year!

The Markel family have an older son (Cam – 9U Gold) in the Football program, as well as daughter (Chloe - Pre-K) in the Cheer program. They’ve been a part of our organization for going on 4 years now (Chris Markel also coaches), and are very involved with not only our programs, but also in bringing awareness to Down Syndrome.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to meet Griffin yet, we hope you get the chance!! He lights up the room when he’s around and keeps us all on our toes, the Markel family truly is a bright spot within our organization!

Chris & Gina are also very involved with GiGi’s Playhouse and we highly recommend you check them out (Down Syndrome Achievement Centers - GiGi's Playhouse (gigisplayhouse.org) to learn more and consider donating if you are able!
