Zero Tolerance Policy

BRI continues to vigorously strive for the highest standards of sportsmanship in youth football and cheerleading.  Every participant; whether player, cheerleader, coach, referee, official, administrator, parent, family member or spectator has a responsibility to comply with and support our zero tolerance policy and to behave in a respectable manner.

Zero Tolerance essentially means that everyone involved in our youth program shall act in a respectful and sportsmanship like manner so that the Raiders will be strongly desirable and rewarding experience.  Disrespectful and/or unsportsman like conduct will not be tolerated.  Loss of self-control is never acceptable.  Education and enforcement begins at the town level, infused into each team/squad and grows to other towns in the league.  Every organization should be required to take a strong stand on zero tolerance.  Our Zero Tolerance Policy will be aggressively enforced with stated penalties.

Bartlett Raider conduct expectations as stated in parent/coach signed Policy Forms.  Participants, either football players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents or legal guardians, have an obligation to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with this organization.  This organization was formed in order to encourage athletic activities, promote sportsmanship and fitness and to maintain a sound mental, physical, and moral condition.  It is therefore determined that certain behavior be deemed as inconsistent with the goals and obligations of the BRAAI to the children participating in the program and would require the removal and/or expulsion of that participant from the organization.  That behavior being outlined as, but not limited to:  1)  Good conduct is expected from all participants listed above.  These behaviors will not be tolerated as directed to team members, coaches, team moms, directors, board members, and referees – disrespect, insubordination, abusive language, negative attitude, gang symbolism, fighting, destruction of equipment/uniforms, lying, forgery, and any other improper conduct as determined by the Board of Directors.  2)  Any behavior deemed as criminal, i.e.; theft, smoking, drug use, alcohol use, and inappropriate sexual behavior, may result in immediate dismissal from participation.

Negative conduct of spectators, players/cheerleaders, coaches, and parents representing the Bartlett Raiders will not be tolerated.  The negative conduct of just a few individuals can ruin the youth football/cheerleading experience for all that are exposed to it and destroy the reputation of this organization.

Zero Tolerance Agreement

I/We the undersigned have read and received a copy of the Zero Tolerance Policy and understand the potential ramifications of negative or abusive conduct at youth football/cheer games, practices, tournaments, competitions and outings.  I/We furthermore pledge to adhere to these guidelines and support the Bartlett Raiders to our fullest ability.
