Hello Raider Nation,

Due to the ever changing world we live in, our insurance carrier has implemented new guidelines this year and we will follow them without question. 

All football players have to come in with you and get weighed, get their shoulder pads fitted, and especially their helmets fitted.   There will be no exceptions on this new (out of our control) policy.  Anyone walking in without their kids will not be issued equipment.  This applies to everyone-no exceptions.   In addition, if you have 2 or more players but only bring one to pickup, you will receive only the equipment that was fitted for the player that came to pickup.  Please avoid this and bring in all of your kids so they can be fitted.

Football players need to come wearing only shorts, shirt and light shoes for the fitting and the weigh in.

Cheerleaders will also be required to try on their cheer uniforms as well, or no uniform will be issued.  Please wear something form fitting so that we can get an accurate measurement.  There will be changing rooms set up for the cheerleaders.

Rogan Shoes will be here again this year with cheer shoes.  Rogan Shoes will also have a variety of football cleats on hand as well for separate purchase.  Our fully stocked apparel trailer will be on hand as well to provide for apparel and equipment needs. Orders will be taken if need be.

All players also have to be weighed because of the new guidelines and rules changes the BGYFL LEAGUE implemented as well this year. There was a new rule implemented this year to help keep heavier younger kids with their age groups. This new rule change has helped more than 70 kids to finally be able to play with kids their own age, as well as give some new kids an opportunity to finally play for the Raiders.

All stripers will be designated by the end of the third week of practice.  We will not go into regular games without stripers in place.   Once designated a striper, he will remain a striper for the entire regular season games.

The Raiders Board prides itself on running a safe program for your children.  We look forward to seeing all the Raiders new and old this Saturday June 6th 2009 @ Bartlett High School.  The doors open @10:00 A.M.
